# Security Policy

## Reporting a Vulnerability

We take security seriously. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly.

### How to Report

1. **Do NOT open a public issue**
2. Email security@automotive-rtos.com
3. Include detailed information
4. Allow time for response

### What to Include

- Description of vulnerability
- Steps to reproduce
- Impact assessment
- Suggested fix (if any)
- Your contact information

### Response Process

1. **Acknowledgment** (within 24 hours)
   - Confirm receipt
   - Assign tracking number

2. **Assessment** (within 72 hours)
   - Verify vulnerability
   - Determine severity
   - Identify affected versions

3. **Fix Development**
   - Develop fix
   - Test thoroughly
   - Prepare release

4. **Disclosure**
   - Coordinate disclosure
   - Release fix
   - Publish advisory
